GUIDELINES - Protocol Submission

  • The investigator or active co-investigator must be an Academic or Clinical Full-Time faculty member at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
  • Priority for support will be given to projects and/or investigators with peer-reviewed grant support, as well as for major multicenter trials and outcomes and effectiveness studies that involve human subjects.
  • CRC utilization- In order to make use of the CRC for patient visits, investigator teams must include health professionals with clinical privileges at Montefiore Medical Center. Nursing support may be requested, but other patient care costs must be covered by the investigators' own funding. CRC-specific expense issues may include cost-sharing for ancillary tests and cost allocations among different ICTR components.
  • Biostatistics- Support will be provided through consultations. An initial consultation will be provided after submission of the online request form. Following the initial consultation, 2-5 hours of complimentary follow-up support will be provided, depending on the scope of the project.
  • Biorepository- Biorepository charges are set at a standard yearly fee per sample, with discounts provided to large-volume users.
  • Trainees enrolled in any of the ICTR degree-granting programs will have access to ICTR resources. Statistical and research ethics consultation as part of the planning of thesis and/or other research projects for all ICTR-sponsored trainees are provided through the relevant degree program. Additional resources that may be available include training-specific funds for project development.
  • All faculty with direct support from the CTSA grant are excluded from receiving pilot award funds as PI's.
  • Trainees whose primary mentor(s) are either the CTSA PI or co-PIs are not eligible for career development award funds.
